Sredniansky castle – a castle, located in the village of the middle of Uzhgorod district of the Transcarpathian region.
The central castle forms one quadrangular tower-dongon (18.6 x 16.5 m), its height reaches 20 m, and the thickness of the walls – 2.6 m. It was founded by the Order of the Knights Templar in the XII century. They used the castle as a customs post, and sometimes as a place of standing of small garrisons of the troops. This is the only castle in Transcarpathia, in which in the unfinished form the features of the Romanesque style are preserved. Nowadays he is rightly considered one of the main monuments of Transcarpathia and is in a pitiful state of neglected snowstorms.
